DictationDesk's command mode rewrites text by voice in any Windows app: select the text, hold Ctrl+Win+Alt, say what to change, such as “make this formal”, “shorter” or “turn this into bullet points”, and release. The selection is replaced with the edited version.

The problem

Editing is slower than writing: making a message politer, shorter or into a list means retyping it or pasting it into a chatbot and back.

How to do it with DictationDesk

Create your account. Free; command mode is included.
Connect the Windows app. Paste a device token into the app.
Select the text. In any app, select the paragraph or message you want to change.
Hold Ctrl+Win+Alt and say the change. “make this more formal”, “shorter”, “fix the grammar”, “bullet points”.
Release. The edited text replaces your selection. Press Ctrl+Z in most apps to undo.

When DictationDesk is not the right tool

Command mode edits the text you select; it does not search the web or write long new content from nothing. For research or long writing from scratch, use a writing assistant.
